A home of over 30 years has a dramatic makeover. Instead of an addition the choice was to make an open concept first floor. The split level in Vienna Virginia was neglected by past owners,, but the new owners loved the location. The best answer was to remodel.

Now the kitchen bright and well planned is in the center of the main floor. 
A furnished dining are for six offers a family dinner space. The kitchen has a center island that runs the length of the entire space. For adults and children this is the very heart of the whole room. 

The room was designed to be functional and bright, New windows and lighting took this outdated kitchen to the cheerful space it was never before. Quality was preferred by the homeowners, the stunning gray wood flooring, pendant lights with a 12 foot island  improved a dated suburban split level to a completely changed modern style home. Kitchen choices included new upscale appliances, a farm sink with tile luxurious silestone  and backsplash tile to add glamour. 

NOW...A happy family is overjoyed with the function and style of the new space. They can not wait to curl up in the modern sectional sofa or dine at the island.

Great Room

The design project for a transitional home came about when an NFL players moved to a new team in a new home. Each part of the design needed to be comfortable for and athlete and his friends. High style was also important. Mid-century modern combined with Industrial Modern was the design focus. Added art and accessories include vintage art, global textures, and may hand crafted items.
The leather sectional sofa anchors the open space.Every seat is luxurious as each one reclines by a quick push of a button. The chaise on the far side faces the fireplace for a cozy yet sophisticated look.
Lighting showed the nod to Industrial Modern, as did the custom designed bar and new dining room furniture.
